A delegation of experts from Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos and China's national cassava industry visited the Red Sun

Recently, at the invitation of the Red Sun's international agricultural industrialization ecological chain, Mr. Bouachanh SIHAVONG, Chairman of the State-owned Agricultural Service Company of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, Researcher Ou Wenjun, Director of the Baisha Comprehensive Experimental Station of the National Cassava Industry Technology System of China, Researcher Liu Guanghua, an expert of the National Cassava Industry Technology System (International Agricultural Cooperation Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences), and more than 20 cassava entrepreneurs from Hainan, Guangxi and Yunnan visited the Red Sun.

Representatives from the Red Sun's International Agricultural Industrialization Industry Chain extended their warm welcome and expressed gratitude for the technical support provided by the Chinese national cassava industry system. They also expressed confidence in the development of Laos' cassava industry and expectations to further cooperation in Laos which will contribute to in-depth collaboration between the two countries' cassava industries. At the symposium, researcher Ou Wenjun presented the latest research progress on the cassava industry at the Institute of Product Research, Chinese Academy of Tropical Sciences. Mr. Bouachanh Sihavong delivered a report titled "Laos Sustainable Agricultural Development Plan", outlining the overall situation and plans for sustainable agricultural development in Laos. He specifically invited Chinese cassava experts to Laos to provide technical assistance in the cassava industry, aiming to jointly develop the Laotian cassava industry chain and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. The two sides and participating companies also exchanged views on land ownership and other issues related to developing the cassava industry chain in Laos. They also held in-depth discussions and reached consensus on how to establish a standardized pilot demonstration base in Laos, promote full mechanization, and improve quality and efficiency while reducing costs. Both sides agreed that this initiative is of great significance for promoting the sustainable development of Laos' cassava industry and resolving the cassava raw material issues faced by Red Sun and other companies.

During the visit, both sides successively visited the Red Sun headquarters base, the Red Sun (Dangtu) Life and Health Industrial Park, the Red Sun (Qujing) Life and Health Industrial Park, and the China National Cassava Industry Technology System's cassava planting demonstration base in Xinzhuang Village, Dongcun Town, Fuming County, Yunnan Province. Over the past five years, Red Sun has leveraged disruptive synthetic biology and digitalization to transform traditional industries. Through the implementation of strategic initiatives such as "focusing on core businesses, extending and strengthening supply chains, transforming waste into treasure, pursuing green and low-carbon development, and embracing innovation" Red Sun has consistently deployed innovation chains around industrial chains, and arranged industrial chains around innovation chains. This has resulted in the construction of the world’s first independently controlled, six-pronged, twin zero-carbon biomanufacturing industrial cluster. This has accelerated the formation of a new engine for high-quality productivity, implemented the national strategy of "rural revitalization, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the commitment of a major country”, and further advanced Red Sun's high-quality development.
