Recently, Red Sun Co., Ltd.and Angola's AGROVIDA ABC officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Angola. The two parties will jointly establish a production base and expand the African agricultural market. This initiative is an important move to thoroughly implement the Belt and Road Initiative and serve national strategies, marking a new stage of in-depth integration for China-Africa agricultural cooperation.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement attached great importance by the Angolan government. Representatives from Angolan ministries and commissions including the Angola Investment Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce attended the ceremony and held in-depth exchanges with the Redsun team. Jeronimo Nunda Pongolola, Executive Director of the Investment Promotion Agency, pledged full support with preferential policies to facilitate the rapid implementation of the project. Isaac Francisco Maria dos Anjos, Minister of Agriculture, commended Chinese enterprises for investing and setting up factories in Angola, emphasizing that the country is in urgent need of pesticide plants to meet agricultural input demands. He expressed full confidence in Redsun’s 36 years of industry experience and hoped that the company would launch high-quality, eco-friendly and safe green pesticides into the market as soon as possible. Rui Miguêns de Oliveira, Minister of Industry and Commerce, spoke highly of this cooperation, stating that Redsun Co., Ltd.’s involvement is not only a key measure to boost Angola’s economic development, but also a vivid manifestation of the friendship between China and Angola. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce will fully facilitate relevant services and approval processes.
Currently, African agriculture faces development bottlenecks such as weak infrastructure, insufficient technology and shortage of agricultural inputs. Meanwhile, the global agrochemical industry is undergoing a transformation toward greenization, high efficiency and localization. As a leading enterprise in China’s pesticide industry, Redsun Co., Ltd. has actively responded to the "Going Global" strategy. This cooperation represents a key step in its overseas layout and commitment to serving agricultural globalization.
In accordance with the agreement, adhering to the principle of "complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results", the two parties will focus on the production and sales of pesticide formulations, and gradually expand into areas including fertilizers, microbial inoculants, seed sales, agricultural product processing, warehousing and logistics, as well as agricultural technical services. The aim is to build a comprehensive new platform for agricultural cooperation integrating production, supply and services. To ensure the efficient progress of the project, the two sides will establish a regular communication mechanism and jointly carry out market promotion and technical exchanges.
Looking ahead, starting with the construction of this platform, Redsun Co., Ltd. will further advance "channel linkage, industrial empowerment and ecological co-construction", strengthen the China-Angola trade bond, build a "new window, new carrier and new bridge" for China in Africa, and continuously contribute to regional coordinated development and the building of a community with a shared future.
